Winner: Silver award in New York Design Awards 2021: Better Future: Equity and Inclusion

I received silver in the New York Design Awards - Better Future: Equity and Inclusion category for my project Kindred which empowers all pregnancies through community-based support.

Speaker: Design Inbada, part of Dutch Design Week

I was a speaker at the Design Indaba Conference in 2021 as part of the Gender Equality Special Interest group. I spoke about my platform which aims to provide equal maternity care to black mothers. Birth Reborn draws on the healing power of community connection and ancestral knowledge, made accessible through a thoughtfully designed app.

Design Indaba is an annual conference and digital platform with an aim to help create a better world through creativity.


Feature in NYCxDesign: The Roundup

I was featured in NYCxDesign's The Roundup episode NYCxDESIGN featured my work on how design can improve maternal care and sharing the results of my year-long design journey.
